Park Policies

To provide an enjoyable camping experience for all and to preserve the beauty of your campground, we have prepared the following Rules and Regulations. They are based on common sense, decency, and consideration of fellow campers. Violations may be grounds for removal without refund.

Check-in: Arrive between 2 pm and 10 pm.  Check-out by noon. There is a $10 fee for up to 2 hours of early check-in or late check-out. You must request such a change in advance so we can confirm there is no conflict with the camper who comes before or after you. In any case, we do not allow anyone to come in after 10pm when quiet hours begin. Upon check-in, you will receive a tag to hang from the rearview mirror of each vehicle.

Visitors: Visitors must also check in and obtain a hangtag for a fee of $5. Daytime visits are welcomed and must conclude by 10pm

Trash: Dumpsters are provided for all household refuse and garbage. No dumping of appliances, furniture, etc. A $10 fee will be charged for trash left on site. Please do not leave trash out overnight as it is unsightly and attracts animals. Do not place trash in the fire rings.

Fires: Firewood is available for purchase at the office and will be delivered to your site. For those of you arriving after office hours we have provided an honor box with bundles of firewood by the door to the office. Outside firewood is not allowed as it can import pests and insects. Do not cut existing shrubs or trees. Do not move fire rings. Always attend to hot fires and properly extinguish all fires.

Pets: Up to two pets are permitted. They must remain on your site or be on a leash no longer than 6 feet. Pets are not allowed on the playground or within the fenced pool area. Do not leave pets outside unattended. Pets are not to be tied up to trees or porches and must not create a disturbance or be a nuisance to others. Owners must be able to control their pets and clean up after them. There will be a $30 fine for each incident of not picking up after your pet and disposing of it properly.

Children: Parents or guardians must always monitor the safety and behavior of their children. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised at the playground, and children under the age of 16 must be supervised at the pool. The playground, pool, and equipment for shuffleboard and volleyball are available to be enjoyed at your own risk. State law requires children under 12 to wear a helmet while riding bikes.

Conduct: Smoking inside camp buildings and use of fireworks or explosives is prohibited. We also cannot allow alcoholic beverages or have firearms displayed at campsites. From 10:00 pm to 8:00 am outside visitors are not allowed and noise should be kept to a minimum. Loud noises, including from golf carts, generators, or chain saws are not allowed during quiet hours. Please do not walk through other campsites. Show courtesy to others and their campsites.

Parking: One car per camp site. Additional vehicles must park in visitor spaces (next to the cabin) and not on the grass. The speed limit is 5 MPH throughout the campground.

Site Appearance: Do not drive nails into trees, leave trash on site, move or remove supplied tables, discharge sewage or gray water on the ground, or wash dishes at water sites. Dishes may be washed in the laundry room.

Trespassing: Campers and their children and pets must respect the privacy of their fellow campers and their sites. Hiking is permitted across the highway in the state park. Trespassing outside of the campground on our neighbors’ surrounding property is strictly prohibited.

Golf carts are permitted for use by licensed drivers only. They are not to be operated during quiet time hours. Drivers must obey all roadways and directional signs. No off-road vehicles (ATV’s, RTV’s) can be driven on campground property.

Pool: Swim at your own risk! Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Pets, glass bottles or containers, gum, rough housing, running, pushing, and foul language ARE PROHIBITED IN THE FENCED POOL AREA. Swim diapers are mandatory for those in diapers.

Cabin: Our dry cabin sleeps 4 people. One small tent can be added outside for 1 week for an additional 2 people. We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damages that occur during your stay. Small dogs are permitted in cabins and must be pickup up after. No parking on the grass. Do not move the fire pit.

Liability: Nature’s Getaway RV Park owners and staff are not liable for any loss, damages, or injury to any person, vehicle, or other personal property that may occur on campground property. We are also not liable for any theft, vandalism, or damage caused by natural elements.

By making a reservation you are agreeing to abide by all park policies and rules. Failure to observe park policies and rules may, at the discretion of park management, be sufficient reason for eviction from the park without refund.
